CALED is excited to announce that it’s affiliate, the California Academy for Economic Development, is partnering with Community Systems to offer a first of its kind professional development program. The Digital Economic Development University (EDU) is an innovative professional development certification program specially designed to give economic development professionals and EDOs the skills they need to compete in today’s digital age.
The courses consist of 14 90-minute webinars, delivered online and recorded for future use, that are only available to participating communities. All communities that participate in the program gain access to the live, instructor-taught courses as well as the session recordings.
With four certification tracks, Community Systems’ Digital Economic Development University is not a “one-size-fits-all” training program.
Certification Options
Certified Digital EDO:
- Given to an entire EDO, this certification signifies that your entire organization has the skills to compete in the digital world, including digital marketing, business development, research, and more.
- To become a Certified Digital EDO, at least one of your organization’s members must attend all 14 Digital EDU courses.
Certified Digital Marketer:
- Given to an individual, this certification signifies that you have the core skills to effectively market, generate leads, and increase digital engagement with your community using a variety of digital tools.
- To become a Certified Digital Marketer, you must complete 4 or more of the digital marketing courses.
Certified Digital Business Developer:
- Given to an individual, this certification signifies that you have the core skills to effectively recruit and retain companies, convert leads, and advance deals in your community using a wide range of digital tools.
- To become a Certified Digital Marketer, you must complete 4 or more of the digital business development courses.
Certified Digital Researcher:
- Given to an individual, this certification signifies that you have the core skills to generate property, demographic, and business data, along with the analytics and leads data to help your organization drive results, engage prospects, and more, using a variety of digital tools.
- To become a Certified Digital Marketer, you must complete 4 or more of the digital research courses.
Certification Costs:
- Certified Digital EDO Track: $1000 (Access to all 14 courses, quizzes, recordings, and presentation slides)
- Certified Digital Marketer Track: $300 (Access to all live marketing courses, quizzes, recordings, and presentation slides)
- Certified Digital Researcher Track: $300 (Access to all live research courses, quizzes, recordings, and presentation slides)
- Certified Digital Business Developer Track: $300 (Access to all live business development courses, quizzes, recordings, and presentation slides)
- Single Session: $90 (Access to specific live session purchased, quizzes, recording, and presentation slides)
